A Message from our President & CEO

INSPIRING NEW LEVELS OF INDEPENDENCE
Blind & Vision Rehabilitation Services is now VisAbility
Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Loyal Supporters,
I am thrilled to share some exciting news – Blind & Vision Rehabilitation Services has officially changed its name to VisAbility. You may have noticed our fresh new signage or seen recent features on Pittsburgh Today Live or Made in PGH and I want to explain why this change.
Every day, we witness our clients’ commitment to finding independence. Whether a client wants to learn techniques to live safely at home, secure a new job, or reengage with the community, every victory they achieve—big or small—inspires us. Our clients motivate us to keep evolving and to become the best versions of ourselves.
As the President of this organization for the past 15 years, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges faced by individuals who are blind or vision impaired. Many have encountered barriers and slipped through the cracks. After years of witnessing these struggles, we knew it was time to take action.
Our rebranding and new name capture our dedication to doing even more for those we serve. So, what does VisAbility mean? It’s about recognizing the unique abilities that go beyond vision loss and encouraging everyone to pursue their hopes, dreams, and life goals.
Our new logo represents open arms, opportunity, and hope for those who aspire to achieve a greater sense of independence. Our tagline, “Come See All That’s Possible,” invites everyone—no matter where they are on their vision journey—to explore all the possibilities ahead. I hope you feel inspired to embrace this message and encourage others to do the same.
Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to our important work at VisAbility. We couldn’t do it without you!
Warmly,

Erika Petach
President, VisAbility
